MEET YOUR TRAINER

Kia Ora! I’m Wade


 I'm a qualified Personal Trainer with NZ Certificate in Exercise - Level 4 and a Certified Metafit and MetaPWR Coach. I have been working in the Health and Fitness industry for the last four years. The reason I love health and fitness is for the positive impact it has on my life personally. 



 After a life-changing event four years ago, I recognised that my physical and mental health needed a major overhaul and I set about creating a program that would turn my life around. I lost 40 kgs, overcame my depression and inspired others to take up the challenge and change their lives for the better. Health and Safety improved dramatically in the teams with which I worked and my Tū Te Ora - Jogging for Logging ("JFL") Program has become widely recognised for the benefits that flow to both workers and contracting companies alike.

  • What is the meaning of Tū Te Ora?

    Tū Te Ora- is the Māori translation for 'Stand Up for Health'.

  • What does the logo represent?

    At first glance you will see a pine tree. This depicts Wade's love for the native New Zealand forests and the Forestry Industry in which Wade has worked for 20 years. If you look closer, you will see four triangles of different colours and shades. These four triangles represent Te Whare Tapa Wha. A Māori health framework developed by Sir Mason Durie in 1984. This framework represents the four dimensions of well-being:


    · Taha Wairua- Spiritual Health


    · Taha Hinengaro- Mental Health


    · Taha Tinana- Physical Health


    · Taha Whanau- Family Health


    These dimensions are likened to the four walls of our home (whare) and if they are strong and balanced then this will flow into every aspect of our life.


  • I'm new to fitness, so will this program be too advanced for me?

    Don’t worry, I’ll tailor your program to YOUR fitness level. 


  • How will I stay motivated when I've already tried and failed in the past?

    It's not a lack of motivation but rather a lack of personalisation, accountability, and proper goal setting that cause people to drop out. Once you begin using the Tu Te Ora program, which is tailored to your personal needs and likes, you'll find it much easier to follow on a consistent basis.


    If there's something about your program that you don't like, you just need to let me know and we can adjust to suit. Whether that be for an exercise you find difficult or don't like, the food you absolutely hate or a time slot that doesn't fit with your lifestyle, we'll sort it! This will help you continue to stay motivated and fully committed to your chosen program.

  • Is this program for men or women?

    The Tū Te Ora programs are appropriate for both men and women. I customise the program based on gender, ability, and experience and then will tailor them to meet your specific personal needs.

  • What if you don't have enough time to do the workout and follow the meal plan?

    My structured program for you will be optimised to give you the best results in the least amount of time. I take the thinking and guesswork out of everything so that all you need to do is execute. You'll be surprised at how easy it will be to fit your workouts and meal preparation into your busy life when all the heavy planning is being done for you.

    Ask yourself, and be honest. How much time could you devote to a fitness program if you spent less time on social media and other time wasters?
